“Rīgas satiksme” Board informs about events of the week (June 3 – 9)
The week passed in works, the results of which we will see later. As the main event of the week, we should consider the visit of technical experts of RP SIA “Rīgas satiksme” to Plzen and the meeting of J. Švanders, the Board member responsible for financial matters, on June 6 with representatives of “Česká spořitelna” to discuss possible cooperation in the future. “Česká spořitelna” a.s. had already cooperated with RP SIA “Rīgas satiksme” in funding deliveries of public transport. The delegation of RP SIA “Rīgas satiksme” will finish its working visit to Plzen on June 10.
Meanwhile, different working groups of the capital company worked intensively in Riga, evaluating the drafts of the documents prepared by law office “Evershed Shutherland Bitāns” (Guidelines of corporate management, procurement and risk policies etc.). Many thanks to all employees of RP SIA “Rīgas satiksme” for their contribution to the company’s future, as well as to senior partner of law office “Evershed Shutherland Bitāns” M. Vainovskis and his team for their interest and competence. It is planned to approve the draft documents developed by law office “Evershed Shutherland Bitāns” and their implementation supervision timetable at the meeting of RP SIA “Rīgas satiksme” of June 14.
On June 3, Board member J. Meirāns met Transportation Minister Tālis Linkaitis to discuss the possibility of serving several public transport routes in Riga region by RP SIA “Rīgas Satiksme”, the development of micromobility points, as well as other topical events. The parties agreed to continue talks on further progress of these projects.
On June 6, several services of RP SIA “Rīgas satiksme”, as well as RP SIA “Rīgas satiksme” Board Chairman Dr. iur. E. Saulītis and Board members J. Meirāns and A. Krūze met to discuss the possibility of implementing several projects included in the investment plan by the company’s own means. They have also discussed the possibility of revising prices included in the contracts signed in previous years by correcting the prices. Still, it was established that RP SIA “Rīgas satiksme” had limited capacities to perform various types of construction works with its own means.
